How the system works, how to integrate, and where to find sample files.
Everything you need to get started: how Data Projector works, how to connect your data, and ready-to-use templates for every module.
How the system works
Your data flows in. We transform it. You get reports.
Your data (Google Sheets, Excel, or other sources) is connected to the platform. We collect, transform, and sync it. You get dashboards, reports, and AI-powered insights per company—all in one place. No technical setup on your side.
See how it worksHow to integrate
Connect your data in a few steps.
Add a data source (e.g. a Google Sheet or Excel file), choose the data category (invoices, products, payments, etc.), map your sheet columns to our fields, then sync. The platform handles the rest. You can run sync manually or on a schedule.
- Add a data source (Google Sheet or Excel)
- Choose the data category for your sheet
- Map columns to system fields
- Sync manually or on a schedule
Step by step
Importing data via Google Sheet and syncing
Download a sample template, upload it to Google Sheets so it’s compatible, then connect and sync.
-
1
Download a sample template
Sign in to the platform and download a sample Excel or CSV for the module you need (e.g. Invoices, Products, Payments) from the Sample files table below. These templates have the correct columns and format for the platform.
-
2
Upload to Google Sheets and make it compatible
Open Google Sheets, create a new spreadsheet, then go to File → Import → Upload and upload the Excel or CSV file you downloaded. Choose “Replace spreadsheet” or “Insert new sheet(s)” so the data appears in a native Google Sheet. This makes your file compatible with Google Sheets and ready to connect to the platform. Keep the first row as the header (column names). Share the sheet so the platform can read it (e.g. Share → Anyone with the link can view).
-
3
Add the sheet as a data source
In the platform, go to Data sources and click Add data source. Choose Google Sheet, then paste the sheet URL (from the browser address bar) or connect via Google if the option is available.
-
4
Choose the data category and map columns
Select the type of data this sheet represents (e.g. Invoices, Products, Payments). Map each column in your sheet to the corresponding system field (e.g. “Invoice Number” → Invoice #, “Total” → Amount). The platform will show your sheet headers and let you match them to the required fields for that category.
-
5
Sync your data
Run a sync to pull the data from the Google Sheet into the platform. You can sync manually anytime from the data source page, or set up scheduled sync (e.g. daily or hourly) so your reports stay up to date automatically. After each sync, new and updated rows are processed and reflected in your dashboards and reports.
